The last time I saw krini

We had breakfast together again. I think we are officially starting a breakfast trend.

It was a fabulous time, and I learned that I should never go on blind dates!

A story about Birgitte

Coolio! What a fun morning!

The last time I saw krini

Was yesterday at breakfast at Coastal Kitchen in Seattle.

It was the first time we met, and she is just as fabulous in real life as she is online ;)

Breakfast was really good, but yacking away for 2 hours was even better! We must repeat soon!

A story about EnJayBee

She’s fantastic, and encouraging. And everyone needs to have a reason to travel to another hemisphere, it should be to meet friends at the very least. :)

A story about Birgitte

Why I want to meet Birgitte….

Beautiful girls with heart should form their own club.

Birgitte is beautiful inside and out!

Why I want to meet krini

Hallo! She installed her own carpet, for crying out loud!

And because she has made me feel better so many times. I owe her more than a drink, more like great sushi or something.

A story about cathibeth

When my grandmother was little, they moved from Wyoming to Seattle, an entire universe away, or so it seemed. My great-great grandmother had arrived in Wyoming on a wagon train of all things, and had never ventured more than 20 miles away from their ranch. I used to marvel at all the adventures to be had in far off places, or look down out of a plane window and wonder about the tiny specs on the landscape on the ground. Who lives there? what are they like? And what are the odds I’d ever travel to Wisconsin from Seattle? Knowing me? not likely… so:

Pardon the cheezy cliche that will soon be typed….

Everything happens for a reason. If I had never dated someone who was on 43t first, I wouldn’t have known about it. If he had never broken it off with me, I wouldn’t have retreated into the 43t community, spending far too much time reading about other people instead of doing things like getting out of my pj’s and going to work, or at least brushing my hair before 3 in the afternoon. But if all of those things had never happened, I may not have had the opportunity to read cathibeth’s entries.

What a delightful person! She writes with the same type of fearlessness that I hope to have some day.

I am so thankful that in our world with the snarky ugliness of human error, I have had the chance to interact with someone so unique and encouraging. I’m thankful that we have the chance to find other kindred spirits that live more than 20 miles away from our homes.

Yayhoo for Al Gore and lets all do the happy dance that he “invented the internet”. :)

Wouldn’t it be fun to have a potluck with a bunch of 43t people? not a virtual one, but a real one? that would rock.

A story about krini

She’s a smart young woman with a wonderful sense of humour and a great openness and honesty about her.

I love that she shares so much of her life so openly with us.

Why I want to meet krini

She’s cute, she’s funny, she’s smart and she has a cool dog. What else could you possibly want?
